i walk the island from one side to the other side searching for a brother's apartment. i decide to give up on a visit and instead send him a letter. until i discover it's his 25th birthday today. as i walk into his building, he walks out of it.

all my new york callings make me walk the streets of new york, and i walk a few new streets tonight. i love my callings.
